What's been going on...

The highlight of my weekend, despite coaching some lovely clients, involved going to visit Kate, Chris and their wonderful 3 raw boys down in Brighton. Ethan, their middle child, had me laughing out loud as he has such an advanced sense of humour for his age (he's about 6yrs.) When he grows up, I bet he'll be very popular with the ladies, with his outrageous, wild sense of humour! The Wood household was total Sleep Deprivation City, with Tish (my long lost 'twin sister') Tony, Holly, Rob, Steve and Dao on sleep strike! To find out exactly why, check out Tony's site - he's in the process of taking his brain research onto another level. It's deep stuff, but totally fascinating! They hadn't slept for days - but were still somehow able to function (sort of! ;0)

Kate put on a great show as always, with her lovely cakes (laced with superfoods!) Lara (who works for Raw Living) impressively contributed too. In fact they went down so well that some people only got the chance to sample one type, due to the fact that there was a party kicking off that night, and they got all gobbled up! I spent some time chatting to Ange about her forthcoming tour of the USA, where she's promoting her reading material, and got extremely excited for her!

Holly prepared some Ayahuasca, which is a DMT supplement. It looks like a load of sticks thrown in a pan! DMT is a neurotransmitter which was once produced in larger amounts within the brain, by the pineal gland. It's still used in other countries such as Brazil as part of the daily diet, or for medicinal purposes. Ayahuasca is cooked, so it took some deep thought for me to consider having some, and stepping outside of my 100% raw ideals. I'm glad I nourished my body with this on going beneficial herb, but will only consider supplementing my diet with it on the odd occasion. It's important to only have it in small doses as it can otherwise cause a hallucinogenic effect! I doubt that would happen to me though, as I probably couldn't get enough down me. The mild smell doesn't prepare you very well for the stomach turning taste! I managed 4 gulps, and nearly threw up with how horrific it was! It was so bad that I find it difficult to describe! Nothing has ever tasted like that before. Anyway, it made me feel incredible, like being in the best meditative state possible! My brain was so clear, focused and in the present. Fantastic!

I had a great time, and felt so refreshed being in an entire household of such high-vibe raw energy! Raw kids are something that totally fascinate me. Despite there being 7 of them on the loose (Reuben, Ethan, Zachary, Lexi, Jago, Bertie and Lizzy) They didn't argue once, let alone fight with each other. I was totally amazed at this, as in my experience, it's perfectly normal to see kids who are mixing over long periods of time (let alone days) disagree over at least the odd toy. But no, not one incident! All I can say is that my theory on raw food; making love, not war, has to be seriously considered at least! The atmosphere was refreshing, revitalising and re-educating!

What I've been munching on...

Lots and lots of yummy raw food - you name it - salads, cake, Chris's morning Hemp milk shake (which was of course delicious!) It was also so nice not having to do any food prep for once!

Thoughts and feelings...

I feel so honoured and fortunate to be able to mix and connect with such a wonderful group of people who are not only on the same wave length as me, but genuinely enjoy living their lives by the same morals.
